Fifty years after Jesus died, one of his closest companions wrote an account of Jesus’ life. This is the Gospel of John. John, the most deeply spiritual of the four gospels, doesn’t just tell us what Jesus said and did, it reveals why Jesus matters. John’s writing is filled with rich images and profound truths and his words help us understand who Jesus is, but John notes that his aim in writing the gospel is simply that his readers will not only believe in Jesus Christ, but that they “might have life in his name.” We invite you to worship each week as we explore the major themes of the gospel of John.
